We are looking for knowledgeable and nurturing college counselors to guide Boston area students and families through the process of applying to and paying for college. While your academic qualification and previous counseling experience is important, we know every student is different and our counselors take pride in their ability to connect and empathize with the needs of each one. 

What we ask of you

  • Be available in-person as well as online, and within a reasonable commute of the Boston area.
  • Have part-time availability to work in-person during the school day.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Show knowledge and experience with aspects of the college application process, including (but not limited to) FAFSA, scholarships, and The Common App.
  • Provide families and/or schools with regular communication and relevant action steps for their students after each session.
  • Engage with the rest of the Livius Prep administrative team, tutors, and college counselors. This may include but is not limited to attending paid trainings or company meetings.
  • Experience with under-resourced communities and the schools, students, and families within them is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, or Haitian Creole a plus.
