Tutor - Subject Mastery Tutoring

Rooted in 40 years of experience, Livius Prep is looking for people who are creative, innovative, unique, and most importantly can build genuine relationships with students. We are looking for responsible, knowledgeable instructors who want to jump in with both feet to help us connect with students at our tutoring centers in Lexington and Newton, Massachusetts. 

Our students are motivated for personal growth, so we're actively hiring instructors who are willing to work in-person. Several instructors are needed for elementary, middle school, and high school ELA content instruction.

What we ask of you:

• Maintain an accurate calendar and be available at least 10 hours a week, evenings and/or on the weekend
• Have access to current technology-level computer equipment, including a webcam/microphone, for online/remote teaching when needed
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to track student progress to ensure mastery-based learning
• Provide positive and constructive feedback to set short term and long term academic goals through detailed notes after each session
• Offer feedback on progress to students' parents and teachers where appropriate
• Engage with the team, and communicate openly and regularly with those who support you

Are you the right fit?

• You are computer literate and have internet access
• You are reliable and punctual and live within a reasonable commute of our centers in Lexington and/or Newton
• You know how to connect with your students
• You want to be a part of an exciting company as it grows
• You have a passion for inspiring students to reach their full potential
• You have completed at least four years of college
• At least one year of teaching and/or tutoring experience
• You are eligible to work in the U.S. and can successfully complete a federal I-9 form and a national background check
